Aldeia da Pedralva (Pedralva Village), with a soft opening scheduled for the Summer of 2008, this will be the largest Active Nature Tourist resort in the country and aims to become a national and international reference for this type of tourism. The village is currently undergoing complete redevelopment, and 40 traditional homes will have been restored by the end of the project. These homes will be supported by a variety of services including breakfast, housecleaning or daily room service. Aldeia da Pedralva will also redevelop certain typical village spaces such as the village grocers. Among the new services offered, there will be restaurants, shops, nature and sports activities, surfing schools, Mountain Biking, Trekking and a School Space for courses, workshops and training throughout the summer. Aldeia da Pedralva is also famous for its pizzas made by the Italian Marco Moiola from Pizza Pazza.
