To promote the Sagres region. This unique place where wild nature and sea are found alongside a rich historical heritage led to the creation of PromoSagres, a non-profit making business association whose main objective is to fulfil the dynamic potential of the region all year round, by attracting quality tourism that is in harmony with the essence of the region.
The growth in tourism will complement the business investment that is crucial to the region, with obvious advantages in terms of economic, social and cultural progress.
The first step to be taken was the launch of a trademark for the Sagres region. The next steps involve the development of an annual cultural and sports calendar for the region, as well as the creation of some communication (PR) materials and promotion of the region as a tourist destination.
The Sociedade Central de Cervejas e Bebidas, Condomínios da Aldeia, Martinhal Beach Resort and Residences, Memmo Baleeira Hotel, and PontaLaia are the companies which, due to their close links with the town of Sagres, founded this Association.
The Municipal Council of Vila do Bispo is a member of the Advisory Board. In addition to this, partnerships are being considered with other bodies, with a view to improving the quality of options in the region and tourist infra-structures.
PromoSagres’ partners also include the companies Alma Verde, Aldeia da Pedralva, Marcela Propriedades, PI Portugal Immobilien AG, Restaurante Nortada, Restaurante Vila Velha and is open to the creation of new partnerships.
